Afternoon in Golden Gate Park
Arrived on August 1st and the Haight was shrouded in fog. On August 2nd around 2:00 pm, the mist cleared.
By the way, the San Francisco fog does not roll in, or drift in, or pad in on little cats' feet...it roars in. You can be enjoying a meal in a sidewalk cafe with temps in the high 60's and in an instant, a near-gale will blow in heavy with a blur of fog, and plunge the temperature, too.
Locals say you have to layer yourself with shirt, scarf and jacket and peel or or pull off as needed!
